INTERMEDIATE 3: LONG FORM SCENE WORK

This class will focus on doing scene work with the overall set in mind. Scenic patterns and the nature of callbacks within scene work will all be explored.

LONG FORM 1: FORM

We begin our journey into long form by focusing the classic long form of improv: the Harold. By diving into this form, we will begin using all of the scene work and long form tools learned throughout Intermediate 1-3. The Harold will begin to focus students on the myriad of tools available to an improviser in long form.

MonDAYS @ 7-10 PM

August 13 - October 8, 2018. No class September 3.

Teacher: Jason Tomalia

LONG FORM 2: FOCUS

This class is all about focus, and with focus we learn not to miss anything, and when we don’t miss anything, we can begin to form a narrative in our long form. Narrative in long form means finding themes and connections in our scene work. To help work on all of these elements, Long Form 2 will work on the Deconstruction.

LONG FORM 3: FLOW

The final class in the Pointless School of Improv, this class brings it all together! This class will introduce students to the Bruce Lee, or Water Form, which is the philosophy of play used by the League of Pointless Improvisers. Everything will be used, and anything is possible, when you feel the flow, go with the flow, push the flow of your set. Learn to let go, and play with all the tools at your disposal.

tuesdays @ 7-10 pm
